On May 19, 2026, at 14:30, the YSU Faculty of Armenian Philology will host the Abovyan Studies Olympiad, dedicated to the 185th anniversary of Khachatur Abovyan's novel "Wounds of Armenia".
The olympiad is organized by the Khachatur Abovyan House-Museum, the YSU Faculty of Armenian Philology, and the National Center for Education Development and Innovation (NCEDI).
The competition is open to students of Yerevan schools. Each school may participate with a team of three students.
The olympiad will consist of a 40-question written test, including 30 multiple-choice questions and 10 short-answer questions.
The event provides another opportunity to revisit, analyze, and appreciate the immortal novel of the great enlightener.
