The Faculty of Biology at Yerevan State University held a ceremonial event to mark the 80th birthday of Professor Eduard Yeghiazaryan, Doctor of Biological Sciences.
In recognition of his significant scientific and pedagogical contributions, the distinguished scholar was awarded YSU's highest honor, the Gold Medal, by the university rector.
The jubilee celebration continued in the Faculty of Biology auditorium and was attended by faculty members, researchers from the Research Institute of Biology, and invited guests.
Professor Yeghiazaryan also received letters of appreciation and certificates of recognition from several organizations, including the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, and the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Heritage.
Congratulatory remarks were delivered by Karen Ghazaryan, Dean of the Faculty of Biology; Karen Trchounian, Director of the Research Institute of Biology; Astghik Ghazaryan, Head of the Chair of Zoology; as well as other chair heads and guests.
The Faculty of Biology once again congratulates Professor Yeghiazaryan on this milestone, wishing him continued health and many more years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical work.
