Admission Requirements
Admission to the YSU Master’s program (both full-time and part-time) is conducted in accordance with the “YSU Master’s Program Admission Rules (on-site and distance learning).” The admission exam syllabus is available in the “Admission” section.
Program Objectives
The objective of the “Ecology and Bioresource Management” master’s program is to train specialists with deep theoretical and practical knowledge, skills, and competencies in ecology, bioresource management, and environmental protection. Graduates will be able to:
- Apply modern biological achievements to assess the status of bioresources.
- Organize and conduct research projects in ecology and bioresource management.
- Use acquired knowledge to develop and implement sustainable bioresource management systems.
- Apply skills and knowledge for ecosystem impact assessment and long-term monitoring programs.

The program integrates theoretical and practical components to ensure graduates are well-prepared for professional activity. Students have access to modern equipment and resources from both the YSU Chair of Ecology and Nature Protection and the Center of Excellence in Applied Biology. Courses are taught by internationally recognized lecturers invited from abroad.

- Various departments and affiliated bodies of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia
- Banking sector and environmental compliance
- International programs, such as UN Environmental Programs and GIZ Biodiversity Sustainable Management Programs
- Research institutes, including the Armenian National Academy of Sciences’ Eco-Environmental Research Center, Zoology and Hydroecology Research Center, and A.L. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany
- Environmental and ecological safety departments in mining, food, and other industrial companies
There is demand for specialists in this field both in Armenia and internationally. Graduates may continue their studies in the PhD programs at the YSU Faculty of Biology or research institutes of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences.
