Capacity building in experimental approaches to study mitochondrial transfer and vesiclemediated signaling in human cells

This project aims to develop expertise in advanced techniques for mitochondrial transfer and genomic analysis through a two-month professional retraining at the Institute of Biology ParisSeine (IBPS), Sorbonne University. Under the supervision of Prof. Onnik Agbulut, a leading specialist in mitochondrial dynamics and intercellular communication, a practical experience in methods for mitochondria isolation, confocal imaging, flow cytometry-based quantification, and molecular genetic analysis will be gained. This training will provide a foundation for applying for national and international grants, as well as establishing collaboration between Yerevan State University and Sorbonne University. At the same time, the professional retraining component will contribute to the knowledge transfer and long-term development of in-house expertise in advanced cell and molecular biology techniques at Yerevan State University as well as strengthening Armenia's national research capacity in radiation biology.
