On September 23, YSU became a shared platform for education, career opportunities, new ideas and networking for one day.
The "Learn & Work: YSU Expo 2026" event brought together students, alumni, employers, and the university's educational and research units in one place.
In the vibrant atmosphere, visitors not only learnt about the activities of various organizations and explored employment and internship opportunities, but also discovered new educational and professional pathways available to them within the university.
Held for the fourth time, the event featured 38 partner organizations. Their representatives met with students and alumni, presented job vacancies and internship programs, conducted interviews and established new professional connections.
IT Educational and Research Center: one of expo's lively booths
The IT Educational and Research Center (ITERC), a YSU unit, also took part in the expo, presenting the center's activities, educational areas and opportunities at its booth.
The ITERC booth stood out from the outset for its interactive format. Visitors could pick up informational brochures about the center, stickers and badges, while the area around the booth remained busy throughout the day.
Visitors interacted directly with the center's representatives, asked questions, learned about ITERC's activities and took part in interactive games. The winners received prizes, while the participants' enthusiasm and interest created a lively and welcoming atmosphere at the booth.
Another favorite feature of the booth was the special ITERC photo frame. Expo visitors took photos with the frame, making it one of the memorable moments of the day.
The informal interaction around the booth allowed the center to present its activities not only through informational materials, but also through direct communication, games and participation.
When education meets real opportunities
"Learn & Work: YSU Expo 2026" was more than a showcase of employment opportunities.
It was a platform where students could envision their next step — from university education to professional activity.
The expo featured organizations from various sectors, programs offered by educational units and opportunities available at the university. Participants had the chance to meet industry representatives, make new connections, ask questions and learn about professional development opportunities.
The event also included a cultural component. Visitors learned about the activities of the YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center, while musical performances by YSU Band added to the lively and festive atmosphere of the expo.
Throughout the day, numerous interactions among different university units, students, alumni and employers created opportunities for new ideas, professional connections and future cooperation.
ITERC's participation in "Learn & Work: YSU Expo 2026" was another opportunity to present the center's activities to the wider university community, establish direct connections with visitors and demonstrate that education is not only about knowledge, but also about opening the door to new opportunities, professional development and future collaboration.
