The university should be a platform for dialogue between technology and humanity – Arevik Anapiosyan
YSU Alumni Forum not only brought together alumni from different years, but also became a platform for discussing innovative ideas regarding the future of higher education in Armenia. Arevik Anapiosyan, a YSU graduate and Partnerships and Development Finance Adviser at the United Nations, highly praised the organization of such events and expressed hope that this forum will turn into an annual tradition.

"YSU Alumni Forum was an excellent initiative, and I am convinced it will become an annual event. It can be professionally developed by involving alumni from different years. It would be interesting, for example, to invite alumni from the years 2006, 2016, and 1996 in 2026, and continue this trend. Such an experience already exists in international educational institutions, particularly where the continued connection with alumni is valued," noted Arevik Anapiosyan.
The speaker specifically emphasized the issue of perceiving innovative technologies within the educational system, drawing attention to the stereotypical fears still prevalent regarding artificial intelligence and technological advancements.

"21st-century educational models require us to view technology not as a challenge but as a partner. Artificial intelligence could become a system that thinks with us, and through dialogue with it, new knowledge will be created. The university has great potential to implement this idea," she said.
Arevik Anapiosyan also made an interesting suggestion to unite the university community not only through official events but also through informal interactions.
"Workshops, friendly discussions around a bonfire, and informal meetings throughout the year can be organized. YSU is where many started their educational journey, and the alumni community can play an active role in restoring and strengthening these connections. We have a lot to share with current students," she concluded.
Arevik Anapiosyan participated in a panel discussion titled "Higher Education in 21st Century Armenia: Approaches, Expectations, and Formats" within the framework of YSU Alumni Forum, where issues related to the technological trends in education quality and the redefinition of the alumni-university connection were discussed.
