Summary of semester activities: YSU Student Scientific Society holds expanded session
An expanded session of YSU Student Scientific Society (SSS) took place in the Academic Council Session Hall, dedicated to reviewing the society’s activities for the semester. The agenda included a report on programs carried out over the past months and the presentation of departmental performance rankings. During the session, the Society outlined its key achievements, and students who had shown notable involvement were formally acknowledged and presented with awards.

Siranush Baghumyan, President of YSU SSS, delivered a detailed report on the programs implemented in the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. She outlined the society’s primary activities across academic, educational, and organizational spheres, emphasizing that the semester was productive, full of innovative initiatives, and marked by promising opportunities for development.
Addressing the development vision and strategic objectives of the Student Scientific Society, she emphasized that the role and significance of the upcoming events are important not only for the society itself but also from the broader perspective of the university’s development.
"The dynamism demonstrated by YSU Student Scientific Society reflects the dedication of its members. I am convinced and hopeful that this enthusiasm will double in the next academic year, and the unprecedented events to be organized will bring a new quality to university life," S. Baghumyan stated.
Eduard Galstyan, Deputy Director of YSU Student Affairs Center, speaking about the role and achievements of the SSS, said: "The society has long surpassed itself, yet continues to develop and present itself in new formats. Having repeatedly emphasized the importance of the programs carried out by the SSS, I must also highlight today the volunteer dedication on which the organization’s activity is based. This shows that the future of our university’s student organization is entrusted not only to knowledgeable but also responsible students."
During the meeting, the names of the semester’s best-performing members were announced, followed by an awards ceremony. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the top members of the SSS, while honorary diplomas were presented to the most active and outstanding faculties — specifically, the Faculties of International Relations, Geography and Geology, Philosophy and Psychology, and Law. Those selected were individuals who had demonstrated initiative, participated in organizing events, and implemented various projects throughout the semester.
