First graduation ceremony of YSU STEM High School held
The graduation ceremony for the first cohort of YSU STEM High School was held at YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center. The first seven graduates bid farewell to their school, leaving their mark and embarking on a new journey filled with aspirations, dreams, and knowledge.

Present at the event were YSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elina Asriyan, Director of the STEM High School Aram Khachatryan, teachers, as well as parents and guests.

In her address, Vice-Rector Elina Asriyan reflected on the symbolic significance of the day, emphasizing: "This school began as a dream. And what starts as a dream can never go wrong. I clearly remember the words I said when welcoming the first students: 'You are already successful, for you are the first students of the 100-year-old university’s first-ever high school.' To be first is both a great responsibility and a notable achievement. I encourage you to keep dreaming of changing the world. I am convinced that among you will be prominent scientists and researchers in the fields of medicine, science, and economics. Dream boldly and walk fearlessly."
In his speech, Director Aram Khachatryan expressed heartfelt pride, stating: "Today, we are seeing off the first graduates of our school. Two years ago, when I welcomed them, they were filled with expectations and hope. Today, they stand before us as accomplished individuals. It is difficult to say which expectations were met and which were not, but one thing I can say with absolute certainty is that the STEM High School is not merely an educational institution—it is a large and warm family that we have built together. And indeed, parting from it is not easy.
Dear graduates, this marks the end of a chapter in your lives, after which each of you will follow your professional path. The knowledge and values you have gained here will remain with you always, serving as a guiding light. Be tolerant, be creative, and above all—believe in your own strength."

During the ceremony, the graduates expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their beloved school, sharing fond memories and reflecting on their journey. They thanked their teachers for believing in them, equipping them with knowledge, and inspiring them to dream fearlessly. According to the students, their new paths began precisely at this school, where education, science, and innovation contributed to their personal development and helped shape their character.
In turn, the teachers proudly noted that their students were not merely learners, but true bearers and ambassadors of the school’s values.
With the graduation of seven students in the 2024–2025 academic year, a new chapter was opened in the history of YSU STEM High School—becoming a symbolic milestone on the path toward future achievements.
