A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University and the Chamber of Mediators of the Republic of Armenia, aiming to strengthen and continuously develop the effective connection between legal education and research and practical professional activity.
Dean of the Faculty of Law Harutyun Khachikyan highly appreciated the role and significance of mediation in Armenia, emphasizing the necessity of raising legal awareness, promoting legal culture, and enhancing public understanding of the law.
He noted that the Faculty of Law, with its long-standing experience in effective and sustained collaboration with various institutions, is ready to contribute its professional expertise and academic traditions to the cooperation with the Chamber of Mediators.
As a result of this collaboration, students will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and acquire practical skills by participating as researchers and consultants in projects needed by the Chamber of Mediators. The faculty's Legal Clinic will also take part in mediation processes carried out by certified mediators.

Both parties underlined that such collaborations strengthen and develop institutional partnerships while also creating an effective environment for students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
