YSU, Amundi-Acba sign memorandum of cooperation: new perspectives and opportunities
Yerevan State University and Amundi-Acba Asset Management have signed a memorandum of cooperation to advance the Armenian education system and implement joint socio-cultural initiatives.
As one of the most prominent institutions in preparing specialists for Armenia's financial labor market, YSU remains committed to maintaining high-level cooperation with partner organizations. To this end, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Amundi-Acba CEO Jean Mazedjian signed a memorandum of cooperation, expressing their confidence that timely and necessary investments will foster both the intellectual development and professional growth of the youth, thereby strengthening the Armenian education system and shaping a dignified future.
Viewing education as a cornerstone of the country's sustainable development, the parties committed under the memorandum of cooperation to enhancing financial and economic literacy among the student body. YSU students will gain access to the Amundi-Acba Academy digital platform, which features resources on financial and economic topics primarily in English and French. According to Amundi-Acba CEO Jean Mazedjian, steps are currently being taken to translate a greater volume of these materials into Armenian. Furthermore, the partnership will encompass awareness-raising events, open house days, professional training courses, seminars, and other initiatives designed for students.
Amundi-Acba is also inclined to explore cooperation with the YSU Ijevan Branch in areas of mutual interest, thereby promoting development at the community level.
Professionals who possess a high level of legal awareness and are equipped with the necessary financial and economic knowledge will not only achieve personal success by realizing their potential but will also contribute to the advancement of both the nation and the state.
By consistently supporting the university's scientific community and implementing educational and research programs, YSU continues to develop the necessary resources and a productive academic environment to achieve excellence and innovation. Consequently, the participation of partner organizations and other stakeholders in university initiatives is of significant importance. Within this context, the collaboration between YSU and Amundi-Acba provides students with yet another valuable opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practice while enhancing their professional capacities and skills.
The signing ceremony was attended by YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Development, and Innovation Mikayel Hovhannisyan; Director of the Alumni and Career Center Astghik Mnatsakanyan; Amundi-Acba Chief Operating Officer Hasmik Petrosyan; Marketing and Communications Officer Zarine Yeghiazaryan; and Platform Manager Maria Hovhannisyan.
Notably, the Armenian-French joint venture Amundi-Acba is launching this educational financial partnership in celebration of the tenth anniversary of its founding.
