New skills for enhanced efficiency: Training course held for Unified Social Service staff
From March 11-13, a three-day capacity-building training course was held for employees of the Unified Social Service (USS) of the RA Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The course was organized through a joint initiative of the YSU Center for Demographic Research and Education and the OxYGen Foundation.
Under the theme "Mechanisms for the Reintegration of Women Aged 30–40 into the Armenian Labor Market", the course brought together more than twenty participants from various regional USS offices. It provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with leading experts in the field, addressing gender stereotypes and exploring practical strategies for overcoming them in the workplace.
Participants also enhanced key professional competencies, including effective communication and conflict management skills, thereby strengthening their overall workplace resilience.
Tigran Gasparyan, Director of the YSU Center for Demographic Research and Education, praised the dedication of USS staff and emphasized the importance of maintaining the continuity of such educational initiatives.
The course was conducted within the framework of the program "Demographic Resilience: Empowering Women's Capacities and Opportunities through Data-Driven Policies", implemented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and funded by the Government of the United Kingdom as part of its international development assistance.
