"Sovietization of Armenia in 1920s-1930s and Its Reflections in Post-Soviet Liberal Discourse of Armenia" exhibition opens at YSU An exhibition titled "Sovietization of Armenia in 1920s-1930s and Its Reflections in Post-Soviet Liberal Discourse of Armenia" opened at YSU History Museum named after Professor Ludwig Gharibjanyan. The exhibits present to the public the process of Armenia’s Sovietization, along with the policies of war communism, class struggle, and the establishment of one-party rule—developments that led to the ruthless dispossession of the peasantry, the disruption of society, and the severe suppression of creative thought.
International conference at YSU marks 90th anniversary of Biology Faculty and 10th anniversary of Biology Research Institute Yerevan State University has launched the first international conference titled "Biological Sciences and Environmental Solutions for the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals." This event serves as a global platform to address the urgent need for sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental and developmental challenges. During the conference—held in celebration of the 90th anniversary of YSU Faculty of Biology and the 10th anniversary of the Research Institute of Biology—an awards ceremony was also held.
YSU, Armenian Finance Ministry sign memorandum of cooperation A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Yerevan State University and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia. According to the memorandum, the two parties will develop and implement thematic microlearning courses, including "Internal Audit" and "Fiscal Risk Management and Program Budget Evaluation." These courses will be developed in Armenian and made available through YSU’s learning management system, Moodle.
International four-day conference on neutron stars and gravitational waves commences at YSU Hosted at Yerevan State University, the four-day international conference "Modern Physics of Compact Stars and Relativistic Gravity–2025" has brought together around sixty scientists from the United States, Russia, Iran, Italy, France, Spain, Japan, and other countries. Lecture on sovietization of thought and the individual in 1920s–1930s Armenia held at YSU YSU History Museum named after Professor L. Gharibjanyan hosted a lecture titled "Sovietization of Thought and the Individual in 1920s-1930s Armenia: Socio-Anthropological Perspectives." Three-day course "Thinking in Armenian About Generations" concludes A special course titled "Thinking in Armenian About Generations," held under the Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility Program, was successfully concluded at YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology.
