The Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University formally welcomed its first-year students with a ceremonial event, featuring opening remarks by the Faculty Dean, PhD in History, Associate Professor Tigran Yepremyan.

"Dear first-year students, I am glad to welcome you to our 106-year-old institution, Yerevan State University. Today marks the beginning of an important chapter in your life at the most prominent university in the Republic of Armenia. The Faculty of International Relations is entering a new phase of reform, development, and advancement; thus, the best is yet to come. I congratulate each of you on becoming a student of this faculty, marking the beginning of your journey toward acquiring knowledge, experience, and self-confidence.
You will become specialists equipped with the skills to understand and analyze the complex and ever-changing processes of today’s world. With your knowledge and abilities, you will contribute significantly to the development of our country.
Always remember that these years are not only for academic learning but also for building lasting friendships, shaping your future path, and developing self-governance. I wish you determination, enthusiasm, and a continuous thirst for knowledge. May your first steps at the university lay a strong foundation for both professional success and personal growth. Welcome to the Faculty of International Relations," concluded the dean.
Following the dean’s address, the Head of the Faculty Office and Deputy Dean, Gor Petrosyan, PhD in Political Science, also extended a warm welcome. "Dear students, congratulations on becoming part of YSU. You are embarking on a new stage of life filled with fresh opportunities. Upon graduation, you are expected to become beacons of enlightenment in our society, applying the knowledge you gain to serve effectively in government agencies and organizations where you will undertake professional internships. From today forward, you carry a great responsibility toward our society and state—please give your utmost effort throughout your studies."
Head of the Chair of International Relations and Diplomacy, PhD in History, Associate Professor Zhak Manukyan, and Head of the Chair of Diplomatic Service and Professional Communication, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Syuzanna Navasardyan provided thorough guidance on the educational process, professional prospects, language course options, and academic programs.
The heads of the educational programs also welcomed the freshmen and guided them to their auditoriums.
