A scholarly seminar titled "Words, Prompts and AI Systems" was held at the YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, during which the specific features of the machine learning were discussed.
Diana Sargsyan, Associate Professor at the YSU Chair of General Psychology and researcher at the Psychology Research Center, presented a research project examining the potential links and effectiveness of emotional intelligence components and cognitive processes in machine learning.
The study highlighted the role of Words Per Minute (WPM) in text input and the potential for developing predictive models of emotional components. This research was conducted by junior researcher at the Psychological Research Center, Hayk Abovyan, in collaboration with colleagues from the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics, as part of his interdisciplinary thesis at YSU.
Another research project is being implemented in cooperation with the Neuro-Psycholinguistics Laboratory at the H. Acharyan Institute of Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. This research examines the role of words, their associations, emotional evaluation, and imagery-based associations in the use of artificial intelligence and in effective prompt writing. From a psychological perspective, the study emphasizes the cognitive, emotional, and semantic aspects of mental processes, as well as their role in artificial intelligence tools.
The seminar concluded with active discussions, during which the role of algorithms and neural networks was highlighted both in brain structure and in artificial intelligence systems.
During the discussion, contributions and scientific proposals were presented by Hrant Avanesyan, Doctor of Psychological Sciences and Professor; David Hayrapetyan, Candidate of Psychological Sciences and Associate Professor; and Varduhi Papoyan, Candidate of Psychological Sciences and Professor.
