The Analytical Testing Laboratory of the YSU Scientific and Educational Center for Control and Monitoring of the Quality of Medicines has once again demonstrated its high level of proficiency and compliance with stringent international standards. The laboratory participated in an international comparative proficiency testing program organized by the reputable UK-based organization LGC Proficiency Testing (AXIO).
This proficiency testing program aims to independently and objectively assess the accuracy of analyses conducted by participating laboratories, the reliability of the methods used and the skills of their specialists.
As part of the PHARMASSURE program, the laboratory carried out a complex chemical analysis using gas chromatography (GC). The tests were conducted in accordance with the United States Pharmacopeia standard USP 621.
According to the official summary, all scores received were satisfactory, with the laboratory recording no questionable or unsatisfactory results.
In international practice, the accuracy of results is assessed using the Z-score. The laboratory's results, with Z-scores of 0.35 and -1.82, were fully within the internationally accepted ± range, demonstrating the high precision and impeccable quality of the analyses performed.
A total of 46 leading laboratories from countries worldwide took part in the testing. The success achieved in such international assessments once again demonstrates that the YSU Scientific and Educational Center for Control and Monitoring of the Quality of Medicines is ready to provide high-quality and reliable services in local and international markets, ensuring the accuracy and safety of drug quality control.
The Analytical Testing Laboratory of the YSU Scientific and Educational Center for Control and Monitoring of the Quality of Medicines has been accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 international standard since 2024, which guarantees the high reliability and impeccable quality of tests it performs.
