International relations today require not only theoretical knowledge but also continuous analysis and the regular updating of scholarly approaches, Roman Karapetyan, Associate Professor at the YSU Chair of International Relations and Diplomacy, said during the Annual Review Conference 2026. He also addressed trends in the study of international processes and the development of the educational environment.
At the YSU Faculty of International Relations, interdisciplinary research is increasingly emphasized, with students from different academic fields taking part in joint research projects.
International cooperation is also expanding in parallel. Students and young researchers work with foreign partners on research projects conducted in English. These processes are aimed at the internationalization of research and education, helping bring university research into wider scholarly circulation and strengthening academic cooperation.
