Ideas and Dialogue
This section features the forum formats designed for professional discussion, exchange of ideas, and the development of new initiatives. Through panel and thematic discussions, as well as the collection of ideas and commitments, participants will have the opportunity to address issues related to YSU's development, strengthening the university–alumni–community connection, and shaping collaborative actions.
The purpose of these formats is to create an open and engaging platform where ideas transform into dialogue, and dialogue serves as the foundation for practical proposals and collaborative initiatives.
Panel Discussions
Panel discussions are a central format of the forum, bringing together specialists, alumni, and partners from various fields to explore the key challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world. The discussion topics aim to highlight YSU's role as a center of intellectual, educational, and societal influence, the international significance of Armenian studies, the development of innovative ecosystems, the green development agenda, and transformations in higher education.
This format provides an opportunity not only to exchange opinions but also to generate new approaches and directions for collaboration.
The panel discussions will cover the following topics:
Development Prospects for Armenian Studies
Opportunities and Challenges in Developing YSU's Innovative Ecosystem
CoP-17: Armenia at the Center of the Global Environmental Agenda – Priorities of the Academic Community
Transformations in Education: How the Modern World is Redefining Education
Thematic Discussions
This year, thematic discussions at the forum will be conducted under the overarching theme "YSU–Community Collaboration", organized under the following headings: "Education", "Science", "Infrastructure", and "Public Responsibility".
Education
Exploring educational opportunities, joint initiatives, and developments in offered programs through cooperation between YSU and the alumni community.
Science
New formats for scientific collaboration, pooling research potential, and exchanging expertise.
Infrastructure
Opportunities for developing the university environment, mobilizing resources, and improving infrastructure.
Public Responsibility
The joint role of YSU and the alumni community in societal impact, shaping values, and implementing public-benefit initiatives.
Each discussion will address the following key questions:
What can YSU offer to the alumni community?
What can the alumni community offer to YSU?
What resources are needed to organize effective collaboration?
How can effective and sustainable mechanisms for realizing this collaboration be designed?
Idea Collection
This format provides a platform for active participation, where the ideas, proposals, and outcomes generated throughout the day are transformed into tangible commitments. For this purpose, a special Ideation Wall has been created, allowing alumni not only to share their vision for the future of YSU but also to translate it into a personal pledge and actionable step.
Each participant can articulate their vision for YSU's future, indicate their potential contribution to the university's development, and specify the concrete action they are prepared to undertake over the next year. Contributions will be displayed in the I Dream, I Plan, and I Commit sections.
