The development of the joint Master’s programme European Studies, Law, Governance and Communication (DEGES) is a project implemented by Yerevan State University in cooperation with five universities from Armenia, Georgia, Slovenia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The main objective of the project is to develop and design a new, interdisciplinary, and innovative Erasmus Mundus joint Master’s programme in accordance with the quality assurance standards for joint programmes of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which can be accredited by national and/or international quality assurance agencies.

The project has promoted the modernization and internationalization of the programme curriculum, supported the development of international student recruitment and their integration into university life, and strengthened the collaborative network among universities, the academic community, and researchers, thereby fostering their engagement within the European Higher Education Area.

Within the framework of the project, a number of activities were carried out, including capacity-building trainings for academic staff, seminars, and meetings with the participation of stakeholders, policymakers, representatives of the labor market, and the scientific community.

The final conference of the project was attended by programme beneficiaries, students, and policymakers.

1. To identify existing gaps and challenges in the development of a joint Master’s programme at the target universities.
2. To promote the development of teaching, learning, and research through the introduction of innovative approaches.
3. To contribute to the internationalization of the participating universities through the dissemination of project results.
4. To develop an interdisciplinary educational programme in line with European standards, enabling the awarding of double/multiple degrees.
