A seminar on the topic of "Human Rights, Disability, and Urban Development" was recently held in the Jean Monnet Hall at YSU Center for European Studies.
The event was organized within the framework of the "Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies: Democracy, Human Rights, and Security - DeHuRiS" project, in collaboration with the Yerevan office of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
The seminar featured Dr. Anna Bruce, a scholar from RWI, who presented the Human Rights Model enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Dr. Bruce delivered a comprehensive report on the interrelation between disability issues and urban development.
The seminar provided a valuable platform for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young researchers, to engage in extensive discussions on human rights, social inclusion, and contemporary challenges in urban planning.
