1. Admission criteria/requirements
Graduates holding a Bachelor's degree or a certified specialist qualification from state and accredited (institutionally accredited) non-state higher education institutions of the Republic of Armenia may be admitted to the Master's program within the specified specialization. In the presence of a Bachelor's degree, admission is conducted without exams. Documents are accepted online via the website. 2. Programme Objectives
The objectives of the program are:
· To provide advanced training in the field of applied linguistics, offering theoretical knowledge to understand, interpret, and analyze modern trends, issues, and methods of language teaching.
· To develop students' critical thinking and the ability to synthesize and evaluate theory and practice.
· To equip students with the knowledge and skills that will enable the graduate to participate in internationally funded programs, conduct applied linguistic research with foreign partners, work in relevant departments of international organizations located in Armenia, and engage in university testing processes.
· To provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching English and conducting professional activities in diverse areas of social activity.

- մշակելու և գործնականում կիրառելու հետազոտական աշխատանքի իրականացման համակարգչային մեթոդներ,
- իրականացնելու լեզվական նյութի համակարգչային սիստեմավորում,
- օգտագործելու և համադրելու լեզվական տարբեր ռեսուրսներից (բազմաբնույթ տեքստերի, բառարանների հնչյունական, բառային, տերմինաբանական տվյալների բազա) ստացված տվյալները թարգմանաբանական քննության նպատակով:

Necessary educational spaces and scientific-educational equipment are available in the educational unit for the implementation of the program. The faculty area is sufficient for the aforementioned courses. The computer base available in the unit includes:

7. Educational standards or programme benchmarks used for programme development
The Applied Linguistics (English) program was implemented taking into account international program benchmarks and standards available in the field, based on the curricula of the universities of Leeds and Lancaster (UK), Moscow State University (Russia), University of Leuven (Belgium), and Berkeley and Columbia (USA).
8. Requirements for the academic staff

General Skills · Skill in preparing a course calendar plan. · Knowledge of interactive teaching methods, ability to use active learning techniques (Zoom, BBB, Moodle, Quiz, etc.). · Skill in applying practical approaches (case studies, tests, trainings). · Ability and skill in developing group projects. · Skill in working with scientific sources as well as using internet information resources. · Skill in organizing and implementing research. · Readiness to implement practical innovative professional tasks. · Ability to lead a research group. · Skill in communicating with the audience. · Skill in constructive interpersonal communication. · Ability to draft and present research results in written and oral form. · Skills in writing scientific articles and delivering speeches. · Basic computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Prezi, Review, Canva, etc.). · Knowledge of professional ethics and legal norms. · Ability to assess necessary resources and implement programs effectively. · Ability to plan and manage time resources. · Perfect command of English. 2. Professional Skills · Ability to analyze the main paradigms, theories, and concepts of applied linguistics. · Ability to analyze research hypotheses, goals, theories, and concepts. · Theoretical and practical abilities to organize, plan, and implement research. · Abilities to analyze and process obtained data (including the use of information technologies), as well as interpret study results. · Knowledge of linguistic methods and the ability to apply them. · Ability to write, edit, proofread, and review scientific works. 3. General Requirements · Scientific degree and title. · At least three scientific or methodological publications in the last five years. · Participation in at least three conferences or workshops in the last five years. · Pedagogical experience: at least three years of experience in teaching professional courses or conducting trainings, and participation in local or international qualification development courses in the last five years. · Practical work experience: at least five years of work experience. · A score of at least 4.0 based on student survey results. 4. Other Requirements · Teaching portfolio: availability of online materials for at least fifty percent of the subjects taught.
9. Additional information about the programme
The full-time Master's program in Applied Linguistics (English) is implemented over three semesters by the YSU Chair of English Philology.
