Within the framework of the educational program "Cartography and Cadastral Work", the course "Cadastre and Monitoring of Land and Forest Resources" plays an important role in shaping students' professional competencies by combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills. In this context, a field-based practical class was organized with the aim of ensuring students' direct involvement in real processes of natural resource monitoring.
The class was conducted at the premises of the Reserved-Park Complex of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, with the active participation of specialists from the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, providing students with the opportunity to work in a natural environment close to real professional conditions.
During the fieldwork, students were introduced to modern methods of monitoring land and forest resources, principles of data collection and analysis, as well as the equipment and tools used in the process. Particular attention was paid to assessing ecosystem conditions, monitoring environmental changes, and ensuring the accuracy of cadastral information.
The practical component played a significant role in the development of students' professional skills. Under the guidance of specialists, they had the opportunity to carry out measurements, observations, and preliminary analyses. Such experience contributes to a deeper understanding of theoretical knowledge and fosters the ability to work independently with data and solve professional problems.
Field-based practical classes are an integral component of modern cadastral education. In line with labor market demands, they ensure students' preparedness and promote their professional development.
