Geologists' Day was marked this year with a ceremonial event organized by the Geologists Union of Armenia, bringing together leading experts in the field, representatives of government bodies, and the scientific community.
The event, organized by the Geologists Union of Armenia, stood out for its high standards, ceremonial atmosphere, and rich substantive content. It once again underscored the invaluable role and importance of the geologist's profession in ensuring the country's sustainable development.
Throughout the day, representatives of state institutions and sector officials delivered congratulatory messages, highlighting the strategic importance of geology in natural resource management and economic development.
Particularly notable was the speech of Sarkis Kelyan, Dean of the YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology, who emphasized the importance of attracting young professionals to the field, the continuous development of science, and geologists' responsibility toward the future.
The event concluded with a ceremonial signing of memoranda with a view to promoting the development of the sector and expanding international cooperation. In addition, an award ceremony was held to recognize geologists' dedicated work and significant professional contributions.
Geologists' Day thus became an important professional platform for discussing current challenges in the field, exchanging experience, and outlining future development pathways.
