Specialists and researchers in geography, geology, biology, archaeology, economics, history, law, marketing and related fields are invited to participate in the international conference titled "From Vulnerability to Adaptation: Sustainable Tourism as Lever for Territorial Resilience," which will take place in Goris on May 26-27, 2026.
The conference aims to discuss key challenges in the development of modern tourism, with a focus on the role of ecotourism, geotourism and responsible tourism in territorial sustainability, community development and the preservation of natural heritage.
The main topics are:
Ecotourism and diversification of tourism offerings,
Ecotourism and strengthening local self-government,
Ecotourism and civil society, including NGOs, associations, cooperatives and other organizations,
Ecotourism and mobility,
Geotourism and nature conservation,
Education and raising awareness of environmental issues,
Smart technologies, innovation and the future of sustainable tourism.
Presentation proposals of 250 words, in French and English and accompanied by a brief biography of the authors of up to 150 words, must be submitted no later than March 10, 2026. The scientific committee will notify participants of the acceptance of selected proposals by March 15, 2026. Participants will then be able to confirm their participation in writing by April 1, 2026.
The working languages of the conference are Armenian, English and French.

The participation fee is AMD 15,000 for Armenian participants.
