As part of the scientific grant program titled "Armenian Periodical Press as an Imagological Tool (Second Half of the 19th Century - Beginning of the 20th Century)," members of the research team, Taron Danielyan and Liana Martirosyan, both lecturers at YSU Faculty of Journalism, paid a working visit to Tomsk State University. The visit was conducted in accordance with the requirements of the project and pursued several key objectives.

"This format of cooperation is highly effective, as it provides the opportunity for direct communication not only with our partners but also with other scholars. Face-to-face engagement yields more tangible results. It is important to understand what editors seek, how science is evolving, and to address issues related to scientometrics… Editors of academic journals particularly present these aspects with clarity," emphasized the head of the research group, Associate Professor at the Chair of Armenian Language and Literature at Vanadzor State University and PhD in Philology, Taron Danielyan.
During the visit, the research team met with their international consultant and academic partner, Professor Natalya Nikonova. The meeting focused on planning further steps within the grant framework and summarizing the work already completed, along with its outcomes. The team confirmed that a return visit to Yerevan State University is planned for the near future.
In addition to already established collaborations, the researchers emphasized the importance of developing new partnerships, which will enable the initiation of new research directions, the development of contemporary scientific communication methodologies, and the establishment of new partnerships.

"Such visits are of great significance in terms of fostering new collaborations. In today’s academic and media landscape, they are one of the key drivers of progress. Within this context, we met with members of the editorial board of the Imagology and Comparative Studies academic journal at Tomsk State University, including B. Kiselyov, T. Demeshkina, and I. Ayzikova. We discussed potential avenues for collaboration, which may allow the journal to serve as a platform for publishing articles authored by our research team. Notably, the journal is indexed in the Scopus database, which is a considerable advantage," noted Liana Martirosyan.

The visit was also significant in that it enabled the team to participate in the academic conference organized by the Faculty of Journalism at Tomsk State University, titled "Journalism in Search of Development Models." Representing Yerevan State University, Taron Danielyan and Liana Martirosyan delivered reports on imagological texts in the Armenian periodical press.
The visit was carried out within the framework of the scientific grant awarded under the "Research in the Fields of Social Sciences, Armenian Studies, and Humanities – 2024" competition announced by the Armenian Higher Education and Science Committee. The research group began its work in July 2024 and has already produced a number of academic articles published in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
