First-year students at the Faculty of Russian Philology were introduced to university life in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. They learned about the faculty's structure, the organization of the academic process, educational opportunities and various forms of student engagement.
The freshmen were welcomed by Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology Diana Gazarova, Head of the Chair of Russian Linguistics, Typology and Communication Theory Ruzanna Grdzelyan, and Head of the Chair of Russian Language Naira Martiryan.
The faculty members congratulated the students on beginning a new stage in their lives and encouraged them not to be afraid of new challenges, to confidently explore the opportunities offered by the university, find like-minded people and maintain their interest in learning. They offered particular words of encouragement to the freshmen as future philologists: to love the Russian language, treat words with care, not be afraid to ask questions and always strive to learn more.
Earlier, the faculty had held the "Orientation 2026" program. As part of the program, first-year students learned about the university's structure, their rights and responsibilities, the features of the academic and assessment systems, and the opportunities available to students at YSU.
The meeting gave the freshmen an important opportunity to receive essential information about the academic process, take their first steps in a new stage of their education, and become acquainted with the university, the faculty and one another.
