Arevik Sahakyan, a student at the YSU Faculty of Russian Philology, participated in the Summer University 2026 international educational program, held from July 6 to 19 at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk.
Combining educational, project-based, cultural and sports components, the program allowed young participants to gain new knowledge and experience in international communication.
Over the two weeks, students from foreign universities attended lectures, seminars and practical sessions. Participants worked on project assignments and explored contemporary approaches to the tourism sector development. YSU student Arevik Sahakyan chose the track "Designing Innovative Solutions in Tourism and Hospitality."
As part of the program, students worked together on practical tasks, exchanged ideas and experience, learned to work in a multinational environment and presented their own solutions. In addition to their studies, they had the opportunity to take part in sports and creative activities and learn more about Krasnoyarsk and Siberia through visits to cultural and historical sites. The combination of study and informal interaction allowed students from different countries to get to know one another and become acquainted with the region's culture.
"Participating in the Summer University gave me an opportunity to broaden my professional outlook, gain new international experience and learn about current trends in tourism and hospitality development," Arevik said, adding that she received a certificate of participation upon completing the program.
Participation in international educational programs is gradually becoming an important part of university life for students of the YSU Faculty of Russian Philology, opening up new academic, professional and cultural opportunities for young people.
