Terezia Šerešová, PhD in Philology and lecturer at the Department of Slavic Languages and Intercultural Communication of the Faculty of Applied Languages at the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), visited the Faculty of Russian Philology at Yerevan State University.
As part of the visit, Terezia Šerešová met with the Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology, Diana Gazarova. The parties discussed further prospects for academic cooperation between the universities, paying particular attention to the organization of joint online seminars and lectures, as well as to opportunities for developing academic exchange programs for students and faculty.
During her visit, Šerešová also attended Russian language classes at the Faculty of Economics and Management, familiarizing herself with the educational process and the methodological approaches used in teaching Russian to economics students. She later held a professional discussion with Anush Mkrtchyan, lecturer at the Chair of Russian Language. The participants discussed methodological approaches to teaching Russian in a non-language environment, shared their experiences, and considered further possibilities for methodological cooperation.
The visit of the Slovak colleague represents an important step towards strengthening the faculty's international academic ties and promises to open new prospects for joint educational initiatives and scientific cooperation.
