Students from the Faculty of Russian Philology at Yerevan State University recently completed their academic internship at the Sergey Parajanov Museum.
"It felt like a journey through time. Every exhibit, photograph, and collage carries a piece of Parajanov's personality. You can spend hours exploring his work and still discover something new," said one student.
During the internship, students toured the museum and learned about its history as well as the life and work of the renowned director and artist Sergey Parajanov. They also gained hands-on experience working with museum artifacts, noting that it requires care, patience, and attention to detail.
A special highlight of the program was watching Roman Babayan's film "Night at the Parajanov Museum" and meeting with him. The film provided an intimate view of the museum, immersing viewers in its poetic and mystical atmosphere and revealing the unique creativity behind Parajanov's legacy.
At the end of the internship, students presented their creative projects, including videos about the museum and Parajanov's work. One standout project was a collage inspired by Parajanov's art, expressing the student's personal interpretation of his artistic world.
The museum internship proved to be a valuable experience for future philologists, providing them with a deeper understanding of the connections between literature, art, and culture, while gaining practical experience in a professional cultural and educational setting.
