A delegation from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) visited the Faculty of Russian Philology at Yerevan State University from April 17 to 23. The delegation included Mads Eskildsen, a lecturer in Russian as a foreign language, and Sabrina Svidt, coordinator of international programs.
The primary purpose of the visit was to exchange professional experience in the methodology of teaching philological disciplines and to develop academic cooperation between the universities.
During the week, the Danish colleagues attended classes delivered by leading faculty lecturers, became acquainted with the organization of the educational process, and familiarized themselves with the specifics of training future philologists. Particular attention was paid to the teaching of morphology, syntax, stylistics, and lexicology.
Eskildsen highly praised the methodological preparedness of the faculty's lecturers and the depth of instructional content. According to him, the detailed analysis of grammatical features of the Russian language was a significant and valuable professional experience.
As part of the visit, the delegation met with the dean of the faculty, discussing prospects for further cooperation. The parties outlined a number of directions for joint work, including the organization of student mobility programs, the creation of intensive study opportunities at YSU for Danish students, as well as the development of joint lectures and educational and scientific seminars of interest to both Armenian and Danish students.
The visit of the University of Copenhagen delegation is considered an important contribution to strengthening the faculty's international academic ties and reaffirmed the mutual interest of the parties in developing long-term cooperation and expanding partnership relations.
