A solemn diploma award ceremony for bachelor's and master's graduates was held at the YSU Faculty of Russian Philology. Lecturers, graduates, students, parents and guests gathered at the faculty to mark the completion of one of the most important stages of university life.
The graduates were welcomed and congratulated by the Faculty Dean Diana Gazarova. Congratulating the young specialists on their graduation, she said this generation of graduates holds a special place in the faculty's history. According to the dean, these students were the first to have the opportunity to actively participate in international educational programs, academic mobility programs and summer schools, worthily representing the YSU Faculty of Russian Philology abroad. Thanks to international cooperation programs, many of them studied at European universities, took part in scientific projects and gained valuable professional experience.
The honorary guest of the ceremony was faculty graduate Elina Shakaryan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, lecturer at the Shirakatsy Lyceum International Scientific and Educational Complex, coordinator of the complex's secondary school curricula and high school graduation research projects, as well as a member of the State Final Certification Commission for Philology at the interstate higher education institution Russian-Armenian University.
During the speeches, the graduates expressed sincere gratitude, on behalf of themselves and their fellow students, to the lecturers and the entire faculty staff.
Graduate Mane Mkrtchyan admitted that a few years ago she could not have imagined speaking freely in Russian before such an audience.
"Thank you to our beloved faculty for four wonderful years. Thanks to our dean, lecturers and dean's office staff for your patience, wisdom, support and faith in each of us. You taught us not only the Russian language and literature but also responsibility and respect for the profession and humanity. Today, we take with us not only diplomas, but also invaluable experience, memories, true friendship and people who will forever remain an important part of our lives."
Milena Ghandilyan also expressed warm words of gratitude, underscoring the opportunities opened to students through the faculty's international cooperation.
"Thank you for the knowledge, support and faith you have given us. During our years of study, we received not only a quality education, but also exceptional development opportunities. For me, participation in the Erasmus+ program, studying in the Czech Republic, as well as the summer schools held in Volgograd and Krasnoyarsk were especially valuable. These programs played an important role in my professional and personal development."
Student Ani Avagyan emphasized that the faculty had become a second home for them.
"The faculty was not only a place where we gained knowledge, but also an environment where we matured, learned to overcome difficulties and make responsible decisions. We express our deep gratitude to our lecturers for their knowledge, patience and inspiration. With special gratitude, I would like to thank our beloved Dean, Diana Yurievna, for the attention, sincere care, and constant support she has shown to every student. We leave the university with deep gratitude and pride in having become part of the Faculty of Russian Philology."
The solemn diploma award ceremony became a symbol of the completion of an important stage of university life and the beginning of a new professional path for the graduates.
