About the program
The new Master’s Programme in Strategic Communication is designed to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development of communication strategies, stakeholder mapping, engagement of target citizen groups, state communication during emergencies, countering disinformation, public speaking, and media relations, as well as the application of traditional and modern platforms of official communication.
Admission Requirements
The entrance examinations for the Master’s Programme in Strategic Communication are conducted in an oral format. The entrance examination syllabus and the list of recommended literature are available in the “Admissions” section.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to the development of communication strategies in governmental, public, and private organizations; the specific features of communication in the public and governmental sectors; the functions of state institutions; the organization of public speaking; and the operational principles of mass media.
Programme Advantages
From a professional perspective, the development of the Master’s Programme in Strategic Communication has incorporated certain structural and content-related elements, as well as quality assurance approaches, from similar Master’s programmes offered by leading international universities, including:
- Lund University — Strategic Communication, Master of Science Programme;
- Columbia University — Master of Science in Strategic Communication;
- Lynn University — Master of Science in Strategic Communication;
- American University — Master of Arts in Strategic Communication;
- the Master’s Programme in Public Relations at Yerevan State University.
At the same time, the proposed educational programme, in terms of both structure and content, complies with local and international standards for the preparation of strategic communication specialists, including the standards developed by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
