On September 17, the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management hosted ACCA representatives Zhanna Iskenova, Head of Central Asia, Armenia and Mongolia, and Zhuldyz Zharmagambet, Business Development Manager for Armenia and Uzbekistan, to discuss potential areas of cooperation.
Karlen Khachatryan, Dean of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management and Associate Professor; Gnel Sahakyan, Acting Head of the YSU Chair of Financial Accounting and Associate Professor; and members of the chair's academic staff discussed opportunities for cooperation with representatives of the international professional body, including potential benefits for faculty students and formats for implementing joint initiatives.
The discussion focused on the ACCA accreditation process for the master's program offered by the YSU Chair of Financial Accounting. The accreditation will allow graduates to receive exemptions from relevant ACCA examinations, supporting their professional development and progress toward obtaining an international qualification.
During the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on organizing the accreditation process. The parties emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation and implementing joint initiatives aimed at expanding students' professional opportunities.
