The Faculty of Economics and Management at Yerevan State University hosted the fall session of the now-traditional two-day "YSU School of Economics" program. This year marked the fifth edition, bringing together approximately 200 students from 60 schools across Yerevan and other provinces of Armenia.
The program aims to promote professional orientation and provide high school students in grades 11 and 12 with the opportunity to explore the diverse areas of economics, management, and finance.
Participants were introduced to the faculty's bachelor's programs, international mobility opportunities for students, and the rich history, values, and academic culture of Yerevan State University.
Within the framework of this intensive two-day program, students engaged in thematic discussions, business games, teamwork, and hands-on activities. during which they developed their own business ideas, explored potential funding sources, and evaluated feasibility, presenting innovative approaches.
Students also had the opportunity to interact with faculty members, PhD students, and student council representatives, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the academic environment and opportunities at YSU.
At the conclusion of the program, all participants received certificates of participation, and the "Active Participant" award was presented. The informative two-day program once again demonstrated that future university applicants—high school students—are enthusiastic, creative, and full of potential.
The YSU Faculty of Economics and Management places great importance on the professional orientation of high school students, continuing its mission of preparing a new generation of skilled economists, as well as management and finance specialists. The "YSU School of Economics" program not only imparts knowledge but also inspires the next generation to confidently choose their future professional paths.
