Discussions revolved around the prospective areas for strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, including academic mobility, student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, implementation of educational programs, exchange of experience, as well as professional development for academic staff through in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
Both sides emphasized the compatibility of their educational and scientific potential as a cornerstone of their partnership. It was noted that Mamun University's Faculty of Economics closely mirrors the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management in terms of student engagement and research output. This alignment is seen as a vital prerequisite for a productive partnership, specifically for launching joint educational initiatives and advancing research. The counterparts highlighted the need to promote collaborative research, viewing it as a key step toward deepening academic ties and strengthening their positions within the regional and international scientific communities.
An agreement was also reached for YSU students to participate in the summer school hosted by Mamun University in August 2026. In turn, Dean Karlen Khachatryan invited his Uzbek colleagues to take part in the 3rd International Economics Conference, scheduled to take place at the faculty this autumn.
