YSU Faculty of Law students achieved remarkable success at the 11th ADR Inter-University Moot Court Competition, securing victory in the final stages and receiving multiple awards, including in the categories of "Best Written Submission" and "Best Oralist."

On April 26–27, the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Clinic of the American University of Armenia organized the 11th Inter-University Moot Court Competition on commercial arbitration. The competition was based on a pre-published arbitration case concerning a dispute arising from a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) contract. The case also involved a question regarding the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal.
Teams from leading universities participated in the competition, which was conducted in two stages: written and oral. During the written stage, teams submitted memorials representing both the claimant and respondent positions. These written submissions were evaluated independently.
In the oral stage, teams competed against each other by presenting arguments for both the claimant and the respondent. YSU Law Faculty team, earning the highest scores, advanced to the semi-final and then to the final stage.
In the final stage, YSU team competed against the team from the French University in Armenia and was declared the winner based on superior scores.
YSU Faculty of Law team achieved first place in the overall competition and was also awarded top honors in all remaining categories. YSU team member Edvard Movsisyan was named "Best Oralist" of the competition.
YSU team consisted of first-year master’s students Hayarpi Mkrtchyan, Edvard Movsisyan, and Ani Poghosyan. The team was coached by Mane Markosyan, PhD candidate and lecturer in the Chair of Civil Law at YSU Faculty of Law.
