From July 7 to 9, 2025, leading experts and students in the field of law gathered at YSU Guesthouse in Tsaghkadzor to participate in the second interuniversity summer school titled "Current Issues in International Law," organized by the Chair of European and International Law at YSU Faculty of Law.

The event brought together students and academics from Armenia’s top higher education institutions, including Yerevan State University, the French University in Armenia, the Russian-Armenian University, the Public Administration Academy of Armenia, Northern University, Gladzor University, Eurasia International University, Vanadzor State University, Shirak State University, and Goris State University.
During the summer school, leading theorists and practitioners presented detailed and comprehensive reports on timely and pressing topics in international law. The program included active professional discussions among participants.
The discussions covered a wide range of subjects, including the specifics of applying international law, the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, the role of international humanitarian law in establishing and maintaining peace, the use of force in international relations, the impact of armed conflicts on investment protection treaties, post-conflict recovery, law and reconciliation tools, protection of the rights of victims of human trafficking, current challenges in case proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights, international and hybrid documents, and the international and domestic legal status of stateless persons, among other topics.
The three-day professional discussions took place in a warm and creative interuniversity atmosphere. At the conclusion of the event, participants received certificates, and agreements were made to foster future cooperation and expand scientific connections.
Such initiatives play a crucial and irreplaceable role in the development of knowledge and the exchange of experience in the field of international law.
