On October 3, 2025, the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University hosted the official diploma awarding ceremony for the graduates of the "Media and Information Law" master’s program.

The program is implemented through the collaboration between YSU Faculty of Law and the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation. It aims to deepen legal knowledge in the field of media and foster a culture of freedom of speech and information protection in Armenia.
The event was attended by Jakob Wöllenstein, Head of the Regional Office for the South Caucasus of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation; Professor Harutyun Khachikyan, Dean of YSU Faculty of Law; and Arpine Hovhannisyan, Head of the program. All three delivered congratulatory remarks, highlighting the importance of the program in the context of the current media legal environment.
In his speech, Jakob Wöllenstein emphasized that information law and responsible journalism are integral components of democracy.

"We believe that this unique combination of law and media contributes to strengthening the rule of law and fostering the healthy development of freedom of speech in Armenia," he said.
Harutyun Khachikyan congratulated the graduates, stressing that this is the third consecutive year of the program’s successful implementation, evidenced by the increasing number of graduates each year. He reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to its mission of preparing well-fledged professionals.
Arpine Hovhannisyan also extended her congratulations, noting that the successful completion of the program is not an end, but rather a new beginning — a path toward the practical application of knowledge and the development of the media law environment.
Diplomas were awarded to the graduates, and the ceremony concluded with warm conversations and commemorative photos.
