On November 7 of tis year, YSU Legal Clinic lecturers and students visited the city of Aparan as part of the "Rights for All" program, aiming to promote legal education. Aparan was recognized as the winner of the "Youth Capital of the Republic of Armenia 2025" competition announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
With the support of the YSU Center for Admissions and Affairs with Applicants, the program included a series of meetings and lectures in various schools across the city. The initiative aimed to raise students' awareness and boost their interest in the legal field. The courses covered topics such as fundamental human rights and freedoms, criminal liability for drug-related offenses, protection of refugees and forcibly displaced persons, as well as the legal grounds for arrest and the application of legal protection mechanisms.
Students were also provided with an overview of the YSU Faculty of Law, including its programs, available opportunities, and the admissions process.
Emphasizing the importance of combining theory and practice in higher education, the sessions also focused on the role of the Legal Clinic, its main areas of activity, and ongoing programs. During the meetings, the speakers also addressed questions posed by the students.
The YSU Legal Clinic continues to carry out provincial initiatives aimed at making legal education more accessible and inclusive, promoting the development of legal awareness, and nurturing a generation that values the rule of rights from an early school age.
