On April 13, at the initiative of the Chair of Civil Procedure of the YSU Faculty of Law, students participated in a study visit to the Civil Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan within the framework of the course "Civil Procedure 2."
During the visit, students attended several court hearings presided over by Judge G. Grigoryan, who is also a lecturer at the YSU Faculty of Law. The cases included proceedings concerning the public auction sale of property, compensation for damages, and declaration of legal incapacity. From a practical perspective, students became acquainted with the procedural aspects of both contentious and special proceedings, as well as the procedural actions undertaken within their framework.
In one of the hearings, students engaged in a discussion with a representative of the Guardianship and Trusteeship Commission on the nature of a guardian's authority in managing a ward's property and the practical challenges related to the exercise of such powers.
Following the hearings, students had the opportunity to address questions to the judge, who responded and provided valuable professional advice aimed at supporting their development as future legal practitioners.
Such study visits are designed to enhance students' professional training and to ensure the practical application of their theoretical knowledge.
