From June 8 to 12, 2026, Olympia Geghamyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Civil Procedure at the YSU Faculty of Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor, delivered eight hours of lectures to students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bialystok in Poland within the framework of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility program.
During the course, Erasmus+ students discussed Armenia's international commitments in environmental protection, the scope of environmental conventions, the current state of implementation of the obligations assumed under them, the achievements recorded and existing challenges. Special attention was also paid to Armenia-European Union cooperation, the environmental provisions of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the processes of harmonization and implementation of national legislation, as well as the reforms envisaged under the roadmap for the Armenia-EU CEPA and the progress made.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the International Cooperation Office of the University of Bialystok, the professor of environmental law at the Faculty of Law and other lecturers. The parties discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between the two universities, expand academic exchanges, and implement joint research programs and educational initiatives.
Highly appreciating the partner university's readiness, warm reception and interest in cooperation, Geghamyan emphasized the importance of such programs in terms of exchanging international experience, enriching professional knowledge and strengthening interuniversity ties.
The visit also provided an opportunity to become acquainted with Bialystok's rich historical and cultural heritage and the region's sights. According to the lecturer, international mobility programs play an important role not only in professional development but also in personal and cultural growth. She encouraged colleagues to take advantage of every international cooperation opportunity by actively participating in such programs.
