The YSU Legal Clinic successfully implemented the "Law for All" educational program during the 2025-26 academic year. As the number of program beneficiaries and its geographic reach continued to expand year by year, the number of lectures delivered during the current academic year also significantly exceeded previous years' figures, setting a new benchmark.
This year, the program's geography again covered both the capital and Armenia's provinces. In particular, visits were made to Aparan, the city named winner of the "Youth Capital of the Republic of Armenia 2025" competition announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and to Kapan, the city named winner of the "CIS Youth Capital 2026" competition by decision of the CIS Heads of Government Council. The purpose of the regional visits was to make legal education accessible to young people in remote communities as well, giving them the opportunity to learn firsthand about sectoral and professional topics of interest, gain practical knowledge and communicate directly with specialists in the field.
All visits within and outside the university were organized in close and effective cooperation with the YSU Center for Admissions and Affairs with Applicants.
During the visits, the clinic's students used interactive and modern methods, making complex legal concepts more accessible and engaging for schoolchildren and staff. The program had a distinctive impact on raising legal awareness in communities, helping participants better understand their rights and responsibilities.
Topics of public concern and particular relevance were selected for the lectures and discussions, including the right to education, labor and contractual legal relations, the functioning of the justice system, the concept of "crime," necessary defense and extreme necessity, the fight against illicit drug trafficking and criminal liability, the constitutional rights of minors and guarantees for their realization in penitentiary institutions, legal capacity and active legal capacity, inheritance by law and by will, and other issues.
During the lectures and study visits, schoolchildren not only acquired legal knowledge but also received detailed information about the YSU Faculty of Law, the activities of the Legal Clinic, admission procedures and educational processes.
Such initiatives give prospective applicants an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the challenges and advantages of the legal profession and to make an informed decision about linking their professional future with YSU.
The YSU Legal Clinic will continue its mission by expanding the scope of its educational programs year by year and contributing to the development of a legally aware and informed society.
