Second-year master's students of the "Chemistry" program at the YSU Faculty of Chemistry visited the GeoProMining Gold mining and processing plant as part of the "Modern Chemical Technologies" course. The visit aimed to familiarize students with contemporary chemical solutions applied in industrial processes.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the stages of metal purification, concentration, and quality control. They were also informed about the safe handling of materials and the technologies used for waste recycling. Additionally, the automation and process control systems employed in production were presented. The role of chemistry in enhancing industrial efficiency was thoroughly discussed during the visit.
Such visits contribute to strengthening theoretical knowledge in practice and fostering deeper professional interest in the field.
