YSU and NSS Scientific-Educational Center launch joint initiatives
Yerevan State University and the Scientific-Educational Center of Armenia's National Security Service (NSS) have signed a memorandum of cooperation to launch joint research on national security issues, organize professional training programs, and provide training on using artificial intelligence. The agreement aims to leverage YSU's academic and research expertise in national security research and in the training and professional development of specialists.
The memorandum was signed by YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Colonel Tigran Davitavyan, Head of the NSS Research and Training Center.
Key areas of cooperation
The five-year memorandum provides for the analysis of materials related to national security, the organization of thematic hearings, seminars and working discussions, joint development of security research, and the exchange of professional literature. YSU researchers will deliver lectures at the center, while the center's specialists will give lectures at YSU.
In addition, YSU will provide methodological support to the center's staff in connection with doctoral admissions, dissertation preparation and defense. The cooperation will also include support for staffing NSS bodies with highly qualified specialists.
AI training programs
A key component of the cooperation is familiarization with current technological trends. YSU experts will conduct specialized training courses for NSS employees on emerging technologies, particularly the applications and capabilities of artificial intelligence.
The planned activities aim to expand academic and research cooperation in the field of national security and develop employees' professional knowledge and skills.
