Public figure, Monsignor Pascal Gollnish awarded Honorary Doctor of YSU
In recognition of Monsignor Pascal Gollnish's long-standing dedication to education and his extensive humanitarian work, the Academic Council of Yerevan State University has awarded him the title of Honorary Doctor of YSU.

Pascal Gollnish, a French national, has been collaborating with YSU for many years. The organization L'Œuvre d'Orient, which he leads, has supported numerous students by covering their tuition fees, assisted students from Artsakh, and contributed to the improvement of the university's infrastructure. In recognition of this dedication and ongoing support, YSU Academic Council has awarded Monsignor Pascal Gollnish the highest honor – the title of Honorary Doctor of YSU.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, while welcoming the guests, highly appreciated the humanitarian and educational assistance provided by Pascal Gollnish and his organization over the years.

"We are delighted to host you at YSU. We know how much you have supported both our students and the university over these years. Many students have had the opportunity to continue their education thanks to you and L'Œuvre d'Orient. I would particularly like to highlight the fact that scholarships were given to students from Artsakh, as well as the support provided to displaced families from Artsakh. For all of this, we express our deepest gratitude and are convinced that our cooperation will continue," said YSU rector.
The Dean of YSU Faculty of Theology, Bishop Anushavan Jamkochyan, emphasized in his speech:

"This is a unique opportunity to once again express our gratitude for your dedication and extensive work in favor of Armenia and its people. I think this is a clear testament to your love for Armenians. I cannot recall any initiative related to students or tuition fees that we have applied for and not received a positive response. I fondly recall the day when our beloved Archbishop Andranik became the link to this organization, making it a familiar and trusted entity for us. I am hopeful that our cooperation will continue, and that you will also visit our faculty to deliver lectures," he said.
Monsignor Pascal Gollnish, upon receiving the title of Honorary Doctor of YSU, thanked the university for such recognition.
Addressing YSU students, Pascal Gollnish said that education is not only personal advancement but also a responsibility to preserve and develop national heritage and values.
"I know YSU is doing great work to improve and advance education. I want you to always be proud of being Armenian because your future is rooted in this land, not elsewhere. I want us to walk this path together. We are grateful to you for living and proving what it means to be a true Armenian. Rest assured, our organization will always be by your side and will continue to promote the presence of Armenian culture," he added.
Among the attendees at the meeting were Archbishop Gevorg Noratunkyan, Bishop Andranik Ayvazyan, YSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elina Asriyan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Rafayel Barkhudaryan, Vice-Rector for Development and Innovation Mikayel Hovhannisyan, Academic Secretary Meri Hovhannisyan, as well as guests and students.
