Career opportunity in one of the world’s most dynamic technological landscapes: four-month free training at YSU
The Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University hosted the introductory session of the "Training Program at YSU" organized by SAP, Europe’s largest technology company. Specializing in business process management, SAP offers an excellent career opportunity for students and early-career professionals not only from the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics but also from other faculties.

During the introductory session of the SAP training program at YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics, participants were introduced to the career opportunities offered by SAP, ranging from business analysis to business development and consulting.

According to Tsovinar Chugaszyan, a graduate of YSU Informatics and Applied Mathematics Faculty and regional SAP delegate, SAP is the world’s leading provider of enterprise software that helps organizations across various industries manage critical business processes. SAP technologies power the operations of global giants such as Google, Microsoft, and many others.
The European SAP company, specializing in business process management and collaborating with over 3,500 universities in more than 113 countries, offers students educational programs, courses, and certifications (SAP Learning, openSAP), free online learning platforms, internships, early talent programs, as well as participation in hackathons, competitions, and international projects. SAP also provides opportunities for remote work abroad. The company fosters a supportive environment for career growth in IT, analytics, programming, project management, and consulting fields. For businesses, SAP offers automation and integration of business processes, increased productivity and cost reduction, improved customer service quality, flexibility, data security, and compliance with international standards.
In Armenia, SAP technologies are mainly applied in the trade sector; however, steps are now being taken to strengthen capabilities in the cybersecurity field as well. A significant shortage of qualified specialists is hindering the implementation of large-scale SAP programs in Armenia, and courses like this one aim to address that gap.
"The four-month course will be held online and led by experts from various countries. During the program, students and junior professionals will have the opportunity to study modern SAP technologies and explore career opportunities within the SAP ecosystem.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the SAP portfolio and career paths as SAP business analyst, business developer, DevOps specialist, and others. They will have free access to SAP’s global learning resources and learn how to obtain official SAP certification at no cost. Additionally, the course will cover how to secure jobs both remotely (collaborating with foreign companies) and locally (with Armenian employers)," Tsovinar Chugaszyan noted.
Additionally, employers from Armenia’s IT and consulting sectors will be introduced, providing concrete pathways to start careers in SAP. Beyond theoretical knowledge, top students will be offered internships with local organizations, including ACBA Bank, EPAM, Axellect, AKNA Tech, and others.

Introductory session included talks by guest speakers
Narine Kharazyan, Business Development Manager at AKNA Tech, and Aramazd Hovhannisyan, a software engineer and freelance SAP consultant based at SAP’s headquarters in Waldorf, Germany, spoke about how to enter the SAP consulting ecosystem and secure freelance positions at leading international organizations.
Artashes Kradjian, Business Development Manager at Axellect UAE, also joined the meeting remotely from the Dubai office. He spoke about Axellect’s comprehensive IT consulting and digital transformation solutions, as well as initiatives designed for companies and students.
YSU lecturers participating in the program will also have the opportunity to attend courses free of charge and become certified SAP specialists.
The initiative is led by IT Park Business Center and AgentPark LLC.
Those interested in participating can register until September 15 of this year. The working language of the course is English.
About the company
SAP SE (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing) is Europe’s largest technology company, founded in 1972 in Waldorf, Germany, by five former IBM employees: Dietmar Hopp, Hans-Werner Hector, Klaus Tschira, Hasso Plattner, and Claus Wellenreuther.
Their vision was to create a shared software solution that would enable enterprises to analyze and manage information in real-time. This led to the development of the first ERP system, SAP R/1, followed by SAP R/2 and SAP R/3, which laid the foundation for a new standard in enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Today, SAP is a global leader in corporate software solutions, operating in more than 180 countries. In recent years, SAP has also developed products designed for small and medium-sized businesses. There are numerous business models that can leverage SAP systems, particularly those managing an "end-to-end" business chain—from planning to sales and financial reporting.
