KPI4HE project monitoring conducted at YSU
Yerevan State University hosted a monitoring session for the ''Establishment of National framework of Key Performance Indicators for good governance and quality towards inclusive, digital and green oriented higher education in Armenia'' (KPI4HE) project.
Led by Xavier Flament, a representative of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the monitoring aimed to assess the project's progress, the quality of the completed work, the alignment of the project with national educational priorities, as well as its impact and potential for further development.
The KPI4HE project holds significant importance for Armenia's higher education system, as it aims to improve the governance of the higher education system, university strategic planning and management, and promote the development of quality, inclusive, digital, and green-oriented higher education in Armenia through development and implementation of National Framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for higher education (NF-KPI), operationalization of Institutional Research and Planning Services (IRPS) and revision of State Institutional Accreditation Standards in line with NF-KPI.
At the opening of the meeting, Alexander Markarov, Head of the YSU International Cooperation Office and Coordinator of the KPI4HE project, together with Arsen Aproyan, Head of the Grants Coordination Department and Co-Coordinator of the project, presented an overview of the project's progress, key areas of activity, and the planned implementation of upcoming phases.
The introduction of the NF-KPI framework is expected to support the development of data-driven policies, advancements in higher education, accurate performance evaluation, increased transparency, enhanced measurability, and a new approach to state funding for universities, in accordance with the provisions of the Republic of Armenia's new Law on Higher Education and Science.
Comprehensive conclusions and assessments from ongoing monitoring will be published in due course, serving as the foundation for further refinement and development of the program.
