The summary meeting of the first-semester activities of the Yerevan State University Student Scientific Society (SSS) for the 2025–2026 academic year was held in the YSU Academic Council Session Hall.
YSU SSS President Siranush Baghumyan presented the activities carried out during the semester, emphasizing the importance of the organization's continuous development.
Each semester, the Student Scientific Society conducts a comprehensive evaluation by reviewing the work, level of activity, and qualitative performance indicators of the faculty-level SSS units. These semester summary meetings make it possible to identify the most effective faculties, while also encouraging healthy competition and increased scientific engagement. The organization brings together high-performing students who also have strong research interests. Their involvement in the organization further contributes to ensuring the high quality of implemented programs.
During the meeting, the presidents of the faculties' SSS delivered reports presenting the programs implemented, as well as the scientific and organizational activities carried out.
Throughout the semester, international and national conferences and programs were organized, including the YSU SSS Annual International Youth Scientific Conference and the Academic Writing School. In addition, large-scale and annual SSS initiatives were implemented, such as GeoCaching of the YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology, Soc Camp of the Faculty of Sociology, the conference dedicated to the historian organized by the Faculty of History, and the Model UN of the Faculty of International Relations.
Following the reports, in accordance with the SSS regulations and the points accumulated, an appropriate evaluation was conducted, as a result of which SSS members who demonstrated active engagement were awarded.
The session concluded with a ceremonial recognition of the best faculty-level SSS units. Certificates for active participation were awarded to the Student Scientific Societies of the Faculties of Law, History, International Relations, Philosophy and Psychology, as well as the Institute of Physics.
