YSU, Be Young sign cooperation memorandum
Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Be Young LLC Director Ruben Boroyan have signed a memorandum formalizing bilateral cooperation. The memorandum provides for joint scientific and educational initiatives and innovation projects aimed at developing and expanding mutually beneficial research cooperation in biology and medical sciences.
The memorandum marks an important step towards strengthening university-private sector cooperation, advancing science, education and innovation, and creating new opportunities for researchers and students. Under the agreement, the parties will jointly implement research, educational and grant programs in biology and medical sciences, undertake research and development work, and share equipment, laboratories and other resources required for research.
Hovhannisyan highlighted the importance of university-private sector cooperation, noting that joint efforts and existing capacity would help create favourable conditions for research and education, foster a modern research environment, support students' professional development and enhance their competitiveness in the labour market.
Boroyan also emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying that combining the parties' experience, knowledge and capabilities would open up new opportunities for research and applied projects in biology and medical sciences.
The cooperation will also include jointly organising scientific meetings, workshops, consultations, and other professional events; establishing working groups; discussing issues of mutual interest; and expanding cooperation with local and international organisations.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Karen Ghazaryan, Dean of the YSU Faculty of Biology and Doctor of Biological Sciences, and Anna Karapetyan, Associate Professor and Head of the Chair of Human and Animal Morphology and Physiology at the YSU Faculty of Biology.
