YSU participates in Armenian International Healthcare Expo 2025 The largest annual event in Armenia's healthcare sector has officially commenced. The Armenian International Healthcare Expo 2025 will serve as a platform bringing together healthcare professionals, innovators, and leading organizations. Yerevan State University is also participating in the exhibition through the coordination of its Alumni and Career Center, along with involvement from the Faculties of Biology, Pharmacy, and the Institutes of Physics.
YSU PhD student to study migratory bird parasites at University of Ostrava to help prevent disease spread In wildlife, diseases are primarily transmitted by birds; therefore, studying the parasites present in birds is of great importance in parasitology. Research on this matter shall be conducted by Manan Asikyan, a PhD student in the Faculty of Biology at Yerevan State University, who will study trypanosomatid (unicellular) parasites found in migratory birds at the University of Ostrava in Czechia.
Progress of eCAMPUS project presented to visiting EACEA expert Armen Budaghyan, Director of the Quality Assurance Center at Yerevan State University, presented the current results of the eCAMPUS project—implemented under the Erasmus+ programme—to Xavier Flament, an expert from the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Professor Larissa van den Herik from Leiden University delivers lecture at YSU As part of the Cleveringa Meetings international initiative, a lecture titled "Universalization of Universal Jurisdiction" was held at the YSU Academic Council Session. The role of young scientists in advancing scientific development: "Scientists of the Future" project launches at YSU The Faculty of Russian Philology at Yerevan State University hosted the inaugural event of the "Scientists of the Future" project. The opening ceremony featured addresses by YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Rector of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute Nikita Gusev. As part of the project, leading researchers and scholars from prominent Russian universities, representing various fields, will deliver lectures and conduct masterclasses across various faculties at YSU.
From dream to reality: YSU student shares her Erasmus+ study journey "Studying abroad was an invaluable experience for me. It allowed me to develop my professional skills, learn in a new academic environment, interact with students from different countries, and broaden my horizons," says Anahit Aleksanyan, a second-year master's student in the Faculty of European Languages and Communication at Yerevan State University. Through the Erasmus+ exchange program, she traveled to Italy and studied at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
National memory and idea of unity as perceived by YSU students At the YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center, an ethnographic performance titled "The Armenian" was held at the initiative of the Student Council’s Culture Committee. The aim of the event was to re-evaluate and emphasize patriotism, national self-consciousness, and the recognition of cultural heritage. Through the performance, the rich and multifaceted world of national culture—its traditions, characters, and historical memory—was vividly brought to life.
The development and challenges of public catering sector discussed at YSU A sector-specific panel discussion titled "Issues and Development Trends of the Public Catering (HoReCa) Sector in the Republic of Armenia" was held at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Yerevan State University. During the discussion, founders and specialists from leading companies in the field presented how to effectively build, develop, and manage a business while taking into account modern trends and challenges.
