The Asymmetric Synthesis Group focuses on the study of new chiral metal-complex catalysts and organocatalysts, aiming to develop efficient catalytic methods for obtaining biologically potentially active compounds. The group’s research is directed at advancing the field of asymmetric synthesis, including analyzing the mechanisms of reactions in chiral environments, structural optimization of catalysts, and fine-tuning reaction conditions.
Special attention is given to the development of innovative methods for obtaining enantiomerically enriched, optically active non-proteinogenic amino acids and peptides derived from them. Both stoichiometric and catalytic approaches are applied to ensure high selectivity, reaction efficiency, and chiral purity of the resulting compounds.
